The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has announced fresh recruitment for candidates who want to join as Commissioned Officers in 2026.
According to the official advertisement, online registration for Join PAF as Commissioned Officer 2026 will start from 22 July 2026 and will continue till 03 August 2026. Interested candidates can apply through the official PAF website at www.joinpaf.gov.pk.
Candidates must have a NADRA Smart Card before applying online. Applicants are also advised to carefully check the eligibility criteria for their selected course before submitting the registration form.

Courses Offered
PAF has announced multiple courses under Permanent Commission and Short Service Commission.
Under Permanent Commission, candidates can apply for 162 General Duty Pilot Course, 108 Aeronautical Engineering Course, 118 Air Defence Course, 37 Admin & Special Duties Course, and 120 Logistics Course.
Under Short Service Commission, applications are open for 138 Education Branch, 138 Engineering Branch, 138 Accounts Branch, and 138 IT Branch.
Eligibility Criteria
For Permanent Commission courses, the age limit is generally 16 to 22 years on 15 April 2027. Candidates must be unmarried and should meet the required height, education, and medical standards.
For most Permanent Commission courses, candidates must have passed F.Sc, A-Level, ICS, DAE, or equivalent qualification with at least 65% marks, depending on the selected course.
For Short Service Commission branches, the age limit is mostly 20 to 26 years or 20 to 29 years, depending on the branch. Candidates applying for Education, Engineering, Accounts, and IT branches must have relevant BS, BE, MS, MPhil, MBA, or equivalent qualifications from an HEC-recognized university.
Selection Procedure
The selection process will start with online registration through www.joinpaf.gov.pk. After registration, candidates will appear in the initial test at the concerned PAF Information and Selection Centre.
The initial test will include an intelligence test followed by an academic test. The academic portion will depend on the selected branch, such as English, Physics, Mathematics, or relevant subject-based questions.
Shortlisted candidates will then go through initial medical examination, interview, physical test, ISSB, final medical examination, and final selection according to PAF rules.

Physical Test
Candidates will also have to clear the initial physical test.
Male candidates must complete 1 km running in 8 minutes, while female candidates must complete 1 km running in 12 minutes. The physical test may also include push-ups, sit-ups, and chin-ups as per PAF requirements.

Interested candidates can apply online through the official Pakistan Air Force recruitment portal www.joinpaf.gov.pk. After completing online registration, candidates should download their registration slip and appear at the relevant PAF Information and Selection Centre on the given date.
Applicants must bring their NADRA Smart Card, original educational documents, certificates, domicile, and recent passport-size photographs at the time of the test.
